USB and LXI-Instruments, as well as 24-Bit Data Acquisition Sound and
Vibration USB Moduls. |
|
2006 |
Brings
new innovation to the USB measurement industry with the
Company's release of the world's fastest simultaneous USB data
acquisition device. With throughput rates up to 2.0MHz per
channel, no other company can match the performance and
ease-of-use for measurement offered by Data Translation. |
|
2005 |
The
first in a series of economical mini-instruments were introduced.
The ECONseries provides a new class of instruments that gives
the user the ability to make complex measurements easily with a
laptop anywhere at anytime. The GO! application software that
ships with the series provides 8 mini-instruments in one easy to
navigate application. |
|
2004 |
The
Company continued its dominance in the USB area with the
introduction of a series of high speed (500 kHz), high
resolution, high performance data acquisition boards with a wide
range of options for the customer to choose from. |
|
2002 |
A new
Frame Grabber generation, the MACH II series for progressive (DT
3162) and Camera Link (DT 3145) cameras was announced. |
|
2001 |
The
Company introduced a real-time DSP data acquisition and
control board for USB 2.0 based on Texas Instrument’s C67xx chip
series. This technology offers measurement and control
performance that is up to 1000 times faster than the capability
of a PC-only system. |
|
2000 |
To
offer a total solution for all of its data acquisition, imaging
and machine vision customers, Data Translation launched its own
software packages in 2000 and 2001. DT Vision Foundry, powerful
machine vision software, and DT Measure Foundry, test and
measurement application builder software that allows anyone to
easily and quickly create measurement applications without
programming. |
|
The
1990's |
Another
technological development, the industry-standard flash ADC
converter, spurred the design of the company's first frame
grabbers. These image acquisition boards work with PCs to
capture and process images from cameras. Image acquisition and
analysis systems were quickly adopted for applications such as
medical imaging, microscopy, and component testing. The 1990's
brought with it another development, the PCI (Peripheral
Component Interconnect) bus, which made possible a vast increase
in system speeds. Data Translation developed the world's first
PCI data acq card, and a series of frame grabbers for imaging
and machine vision to make the most of PCI technology.
Data Translation introduced in 1999 the
first true USB products for high performance data acquisition,
making portable plug- and play measurements a reality. |
|
The
1980's |
In
1983 the area of low-cost PC-based data acquisition is ushered
in with the DT 2801 series, the world's first multifunction
PC-board.
Data Translation took advantage of rapidly changing technologies to make products more
powerful and user-friendly. For example, advances in integrated
circuit architecture enabled designers to add more capabilities
onto ever-smaller circuit boards. Also, the emergence of
low-cost personal computers with powerful operating systems and
graphical user interfaces made it possible for users to develop
customized data acquisition systems for a fraction of the cost
of large, complex proprietary systems. |
